WPIAL Softball Playoff Recaps for Monday, May 23rd

Eight down, eight to go in the 2011 WPIAL Softball Quarterfinals. Four games from Class AAAA, one from Class AA and three from Class A got the ball rolling on the Second Round while finally, one more Class A game put to rest the First Round. Here are the recaps from a busy day on the softball diamonds on Monday.

WPIAL CLASS AAAA QUARTERFINALS:

Shaler Titans 7 – Canon-McMillan Big Macs 1
Breaking open a tight ballgame, the top-seeded Shaler Titans pulled away from the Canon-McMillan Big Macs with a six-run sixth inning on their way to a 7-1 victory in the Quad-A Quarterfinals.
