Greensburg Salem and New Castle still need to decide their WPIAL baseball quarterfinal, but the victor already knows its destination.
The WPIAL on Tuesday released the sites and times for Wednesday’s baseball semifinal games in all classifications.
That includes a Class 4A semifinal matchup between the winner of No. 1 Greensburg Salem (14-2) and No. 9 New Castle (9-9), who on Monday played 10 innings of scoreless baseball before the game was suspended for darkness. The winner of that game will play No. 4 Blackhawk (15-4) at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Shaler.
The Class 6A and 5A semifinal sites also were released; the quarterfinals in those classifications take place Tuesday.
