The answer is Geibel Catholic.

The question: Which was the only No. 2 seed not to win a 2025 WPIAL girls basketball championship?

The power of No. 2 prevailed in a golden way in the district girls hoops postseason as five second seeds captured WPIAL titles.

The top of the right side of the bracket was the right spot to win it all for Upper St. Clair in 6A, Peters Township in 5A, Oakland Catholic in 4A, Greensburg Central Catholic in 3A and Aliquippa in 2A.

Only top-seeded Union in Class A bucked the trend as the Scotties won a third straight championship.

Here is a recap of the 2025 WPIAL girls basketball playoffs with results and leading scorers.
