WPIAL Class 2A football roundup: Donald Barksdale’s 6 TDs carry Steel Valley to victory

Donald Barksdale ran for 258 yards and six touchdowns to lead No. 2 Steel Valley to a 49-14 triumph over Burrell (4-4, 1-2) in the Class 2A Allegheny Conference on Friday night.
Carlos Scott added a blocked punt return for a touchdown for the Ironmen (6-1, 5-0), who held on to the top spot in the conference.
Cooper Hornack caught a TD pass from Stephen Hasson and Tyler Maglisco had a 1-yard TD run for the Bucs.
Apollo-Ridge 48, Yough 20 — Karter Schrock threw for 167 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 123 yards and two TDs as Apollo-Ridge (2-6, 1-4) beat Yough (2-6, 1-4) in the Allegheny Conference. Spencer Sells and Alex Wumb added two touchdowns each for Apollo-Ridge. Raidon Kuroda threw for 128 yards for Yough.
Imani Christian 45, Derry 7 — In the Allegheny Conference, Steve Vandiver threw for 142 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 144 yards and two TDs to lead No. 4 Imani Christian (5-2, 3-1) to victory at Derry (3-5, 2-3). David Davis returned two punts for touchdowns for Imani Christian, which outgained Derry, 428 yards to 92 yards. Justin Papuga scored on a 49-yard interception return for the Trojans.
Brentwood 28, Sto-Rox 22 — Cedric Davis threw for 158 yards and three touchdowns and ran for a fourth-quarter TD to lead Brentwood (1-7, 1-3) past Sto-Rox (1-6, 1-4) in the Century Conference. Drew Daelinn caught two touchdown passes for Brentwood, which trailed heading into the final quarter, 22-14.
McGuffey 16, Keystone Oaks 14 — A first-quarter safety ended up being the difference as McGuffey (6-2, 5-0) beat Keystone Oaks (4-4, 2-2) in the Century Conference. Connor Crowe and Charles Andrews each ran for touchdowns for McGuffey.
Washington 67, Charleroi 0 — Eddie Lewis ran for 166 yards and three touchdowns as top-ranked Washington (8-0, 4-0) blanked Charleroi (0-7, 0-4) in Century Conference play. Washington had 548 yards of offense while limiting Charleroi to only 7 yards.
Beaver Falls 42, Ellwood City 28 — Brixx Rawl ran for 227 yards and three touchdowns as Beaver Falls (4-4, 3-2) beat Ellwood City (4-4, 2-3) in the Midwestern Athletic Conference. Chris Smiley threw for 227 yards and two touchdowns for Ellwood City.
Mohawk 44, Freedom 20 — Jay Wrona threw for 105 yards and two touchdowns as No. 5 Mohawk (7-1, 5-0) defeated Freedom (2-6, 1-4) in Midwestern Athletic Conference play. Joey Nail caught one touchdown pass and returned an interception 51 yards for another for Mohawk. Isaiah Leasha tossed for 149 yards and two touchdowns for Freedom.
Neshannock 64, Riverside 20 — Jino Mozzocio threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns as No. 3 Neshannock (7-1, 5-0) beat Riverside (0-7, 0-5) in the Midwestern Athletic Conference. Anthony Eakin ran for 152 yards and three touchdowns and caught a scoring pass for the Lancers.
Western Beaver 57, New Brighton 7 — Jaivin Peel threw for 423 yards and five touchdowns to lead Western Beaver (5-3, 4-1) to the Midwestern Athletic Conference win over New Brighton (0-8, 0-5). Dorian McGhee caught three passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns while Mikey Crawford added four receptions for 144 yards and two TDs. Tyson Florence contributed 102 rushing yards and three touchdowns for Western Beaver.
Waynesburg Central 35, Uniontown 6 — In nonconference play, Breydon Woods ran for three touchdowns to lead Waynesburg Central (6-2) to the win against Uniontown (2-6). Jacob Stephenson threw for two touchdowns for Waynesburg Central.
