Westmoreland high school notebook: Latrobe soccer player Reilly receives another honor

Add another postseason honor to Robin Reilly’s resume.

Reilly, the talented soccer player from Latrobe who is set to enroll early and continue her playing career at West Virginia, was one of three WPIAL players to earn the latest accolade.

She was a United Soccer Coaches Fall East All-Region selection. Molly Kubistek of Peters Township and Tyler Prex of Seneca Valley also were all-region picks.

Reilly had 14 goals and 10 assists this season for the Wildcats.

The midfielder ended her career as Latrobe’s all-time leader in goals (61) and assists (44).

Recruiting

Latrobe senior Liz Wilson signed to continue her track and field career at Division I Bowling Green.

Wilson’s specialty is the javelin.

• Austin Kerns, a senior linebacker at Franklin Regional, received scholarship offers from Division II Edinboro and Wheeling.

• Hempfield senior football player Aidan Allison picked up a scholarship offer to play at Division II West Liberty of the Mountain East Conference.

Allison became a two-way contributor for the Spartans after transferring from Greensburg Central Catholic.

The wide receiver had 12 receptions for 162 yards and four touchdowns and also had two rushing touchdowns.

As a defensive back, he had 57 tackles, five for loss, two sacks, and two forced fumbles.
