MONDAY
Baseball
While most of the WPIAL playoff spots have been determined, teams will play a few nonsection games during the final week of the regular season to tune up for the postseason.
Latrobe (8-8) hosts neighboring Ligonier Valley (10-5) at 7 p.m., and Penn-Trafford (9-5) hosts Gateway (12-3).
• Section 2-A leaders No. 2 Jeannette (11-1, 9-1) and No. 4 Greensburg Central Catholic (10-4, 9-1) still have two section games left. Jeannette plays at Monessen.
• Greensburg Salem (9-5, 8-4), another local playoff team will close Section 1-4A play at home against Indiana (2-11, 2-11).
Softball
A good playoff tuneup at Graham-Sobota Field in Latrobe has 5A No. 2 Penn-Trafford (13-3) visiting the 6A top-ranked Wildcats (9-2).
