Ligonier Valley student Nicholas Neiderhiser was killed in a vehicle accident on the way to school Oct. 3. Before Friday's football game in Homer City, the Homer-Center School District held a moment of silence in his honor and for the victims of the Las Vegas shooting on Oct. 1.

The Ligonier Valley football team also paid tribute to their former teammate and classmate by having his old jersey with them at the game and by defeating Homer-Center, 35-6.
