While some district baseball postseasons are underway, most will begin this week across the state.
That will make for some changes among the elite as we move closer to the start of the PIAA playoffs.
With the regular season winding down, only five teams exited the Trib HSSN state baseball rankings from last week, leaving the door open for five new teams to join or rejoin the Top 5.
Two of those changes came in Class 5A, with one each in 6A, 4A and 2A.
There were two changes at the top of the pecking order.
In Class 5A, Mechanicsburg dropped two spots while Chichester took over at No. 1. In Class A, Clarion fell to No. 2 and was leapfrogged by Faith Christian at No. 1.
Still at the top of their class this week are LaSalle College in 6A, Cathedral Prep in 4A, Riverside in 3A and Serra Catholic in 2A.
