Here are four WPIAL football players to watch for during Week 2:

Naman Alemada

South Fayette, Jr., QB

The junior signal caller has thrown for 542 yards and three touchdowns this season, second best in the WPIAL behind Sto-Rox’s Eric Wilson. He completed 11 of 15 passes for 181 yards and two scores in last week’s blowout win over Beaver. The Lions will be tested this week in a Class 4A Northwest 8 matchup against visiting New Castle.

Gabe Lawson

Seneca Valley, Sr., QB/DB

Lawson threw for 135 yards in a narrow loss to Central Catholic last week. The senior has completed 22 of 41 passes for 383 yards. He will play a crucial role as Seneca Valley heads to Canon-McMillan for a Class 6A game.

Angelo Priore

Baldwin, Sr., RB/LB

The senior back scampered for 236 yards and four touchdowns last week on just seven carries, as Baldwin rolled past Butler in a nonconference game. He will look to carry the load this week against Upper St. Clair in a Class 5A Allegheny 8 contest.

Kenlein Olgetree

Clairton, Sr., WR/FS

Though Clairton is off to a 0-2 start in nonconference play, Olgetree has shined with 15 catches for 214 yards and three scores. The Bears will open Class A Eastern Conference play this Friday at Greensburg Central Catholic.
