The Herald Athlete of the Week: Shady Side Academy’s Annabel Kuhn

Annabel Kuhn, a sophomore on the Shady Side Academy field hockey team, helped her squad win the WPIAL championship two weeks ago. She scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Ellis School.

“I was relieved,” she said. “I was glad that all of our hard work as a team paid off.”

Kuhn, who plays at center/forward, led the team with 17 goals. She also plays on the ice hockey and lacrosse teams at SSA.

What’s your favorite vacation destination?

Aruba.

If you could go somewhere you’ve never been, where would you go?

Probably Greece. I like their architecture.

Do you watch any of the reality shows?

Not really.

What movie could you watch over and over?

“Divergent.”

Would you rather go to a Pirates, Steelers or Penguins game?

Definitely a Penguins game.

Since we’re nearing Thanksgiving, what’s your favorite Thanksgiving dinner food?

Stuffing.

Who would be your dream date?

Zac Efron.

How late do you sleep in on the weekends?

Usually till around 10 a.m.

Who would you like to see disappear from public view?

Donald Trump.

What would make up your favorite all-time meal?

Steak, mashed potatoes and homemade mac ’n‘ cheese.

Is there a food you refuse to eat?

Beets.

What is your favorite TV show?

“The Office.”

What junk food do you have a weakness for?

Ice cream.

Do you have a favorite singer or musician?

John Mayer.

What three famous people would you like to have dinner with?

Michael and Dwight from “The Office” and Zac Efron.
