West A’s Mike Caputo Suffers Major Injury in Opening Victory

The 2010 high school football season was not even a quarter old when the defending WPIAL Class AAA champions suffered a bad break. 2009 MSA Sports co-player of the year and Wisconsin recruit Mike Caputo of West Allegheny suffered a dislocated left ankle while making a tackle late in the opening quarter of what would be a 41-0 victory for the Indians over the South Park Eagles.

CTK 2010 – 2009 WPIAL Class AAA Football Flashback

The run of three straight WPIAL and two consecutive PIAA state championships came to an end for Thomas Jefferson, which saw their title hopes dashed in the Semifinals by eventual champion West Allegheny.
