Scholastic Notebook – 10/05/2012
October 5, 2012
One and four. When those three words are uttered about a football team after five weeks, it usually indicates bad things. But for Blackhawk and Chartiers-Houston records are indeed deceiving.
Blackhawk and Chartiers-Houston are two teams that are usually much more than respectable. You could say both have fallen on hard times this season as both are 1-4. But are there many 1-4 teams as good as Blackhawk and Char-Houston?

CTK 2012 – WPIAL A Black Hills Conference Preview
August 23, 2012
The Black Hills Conference already was pretty good. But after the WPIAL’s realignment of conferences for this season, the Hills are alive even more.

Coach Bob Jacoby’s team was 11-1 last year and made the WPIAL semifinals. Monessen, which always has some talented players, moved into the Black Hills from the Tri-County South.
California and Imani Christian also are new additions to the league. California comes from the Tri-County South while this is Imani’s first year in the WPIAL.
