HERSHEY — If there is one thing about the PIAA Class AAA championships that never seems to change, it is expecting the unexpected from WPIAL wrestlers.

Hempfield’s Christian Zilli was a Section 3-6A first-team selection.

HERSHEY — Franklin Regional and Waynesburg each advanced two wrestlers to the finals at Saturday’s PIAA Class AAA championships at the Giant Center.

Not many wrestlers have had the type of season that Dayton Pitzer has had this year. The 215-pounder from Mt. Pleasant dominated the PIAA Class AA West Super Regional this past weekend with three pins, extending his pin streak to 13 in contested matches.
