Penn-Trafford and Shady Side Academy Crowned WPIAL Field Hockey Champs
November 2, 2011
2010 was the Year of the Tigers in WPIAL field hockey as both North Allegheny in Class AAA and Ellis School in Class AA won district titles. However in 2011, the Tigers were declawed as both defending champions lost in the championship match. Ellis School ost to Shady Side Academy as the Indians captured their 11th WPIAL field hockey crown.
