WPIAL Alum Q&A – Brenna Wise
January 2, 2017
To call Brenna Wise one of the best female athletes of this generation in the WPIAL would not be hyperbole. In her four years at Vincentian Academy, Wise propelled the Royals to four WPIAL championships on the hardwood, and two state titles. She was also a two-time PIAA player of the year recipient. WPIAL Alum Q&A – Maria Palarino

Winning a WPIAL Championship cements both the team and its players' place in history. Led by Maria Palarino, the Penn-Trafford girls basketball team claimed gold in dramatic fashion in 2014. Palarino, who now is a stalwart for St. Francis Brooklyn, is this week's feature for the WPIAL Alum Q&A. In addition to winning a title with the Warriors, Palarino produced an incredible career at Penn-Trafford. As a junior in 2013-14, she averaged just shy of 18 points per game, and nearly eight rebounds per contest, too. She helped her squad compile a 13-1 mark in section play, giving PT the No. 7 seed in the Quad-A postseason. WPIAL Alum Q&A – Kason Harrell
One of the biggest upsets of the college basketball season came about a month ago, when little-known Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne defeated third-ranked Indiana University. While the victory put IPFW in the national spotlight, some folks around Western Pennsylvania knew about the Mastadons previously. That's because Kason Harrell, a former standout for Hempfield Area, has been playing for the team the past two seasons. Harrell is this week's feature for the WPIAL Alum Q&A.
