Penn-Trafford’s Coy cleared to wrestle

Penn-Trafford junior Nick Coy has been cleared to resume wrestling, according to his coach, Rich Ginther.

Coy sustained a neck sprain in the 132-pound final at the 65th annual Westmoreland County Coaches Association tournament Saturday at Norwin.

Coy was facing friend and Young Guns practice partner Colton Camacho of Franklin Regional.

Camacho said his shoulder hit Coy's head causing the injury. Coy could not continue, which gave the win to Camacho, his third county title.

“It's not how I wanted to win,” Camacho said. “I really feel badly because he's my friend.”

Ginther said while Coy is cleared to return, he'll probably hold him out of Wednesday's match at Hempfield.
