Norwin wrestling coach on ballot to become Hempfield School Board member

Norwin’s Kurtis Phipps is embraced emotionally by coach Vince DeAugustine after losing to Sean Pierson of Nazareth in the 120-pound Class AAA championship final during the PIAA state wrestling tournament on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Giant Center in Hershey.
It was a big week for Norwin wrestling coach Vince DeAugustine.
On Tuesday, he was voted onto the November ballot in both parties (Republican and Democrat) for a possible seat on the Hempfield Area School District’s school board during Tuesday’s elections.
And on Monday be became a father when his fiancée, Chelcea Scott, gave birth to a baby girl, Gia Nichole DeAugustine. Gia Nichole weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces.
DeAugustine is a Hempfield graduate and former Spartans wrestling coach.
He left last year to coach at Norwin.
