It was the final five games in the WPIAL before the final three weeks of the regular season that we call in these parts the MSA Sports Stretch Run. Here are the five performances from those five games that put the bow on the package that was Week Six.

David O'Brien – Seton-LaSalle

In the final game of the weekend, Seton-LaSalle quarterback David O'Brien was lighting up the sky at Chartiers Valley High School. O'Brien was 10 of 12 passing for 264 yards with three touchdown tosses as the Rebels rolled to a 41-14 Class AA Century Conference victory over South Allegheny.

Kevin Hart – Seton-LaSalle

Oh yeah, Seton-LaSalle was able to run the ball as well Saturday night. The Excellence of Execution, Kevin Hart rushed for 203 yards and scored on a pair of touchdown run and two more touchdown receptions in the victory over the Gladiators.

Kent Commodore – Ford City

Kent Commodore helped keep Ford City perfect Saturday afternoon. The 6-foot, 180-pound senior running back got the scoring underway with a 53-yard run on an inside reverse. Another FC touchdown led to Commodore catching the conversion pass to make it 14-8. On Summit's opening play from scrimmage after the kickoff, Commodore picked off a pass at the 40 and returned it 34 yards to the Summit 6 setting up another score. Commodore led the Sabers with 102 yards rushing in 10 attempts in the Sabers to a 34-16 victory over the Summit Academy Knights as Ford City remained undefeated atop the Allegheny Conference.

Marzett Geter – Sto-Rox

Yes, the entire Sto-Rox team WAS in Hookstown on Saturday afternoon, but one stood out above the others in this Class A Big Seven Conference matchup. Marzett Geter rushed for 204 yards and scored three touchdowns to lead the Vikings to an easy 36-0 rout of the South Side Rams.

Matt Butter – Bishop Canevin

A week after getting shut out by Springdale, the Bishop Canevin offense exploded at historic Graham Field. Quarterback Matt Butter hit on 7 of 9 passes for 167 yards with a scoring pass as the Crusaders cruised to a 57-27 Class A Eastern Conference in over the Wilkinsburg Tigers.
