Chelsea Bisi's high school softball career maybe over.

The Derry senior injured her right knee while hitting a home run Monday at home against Uniontown.

“I dislocated my knee and tore my MCL,” Bisi said Tuesday while being honored at the 2018 Westmoreland County Scholar-Athlete banquet. “I probably won't be back this season.”

Bisi was one of 12 finalists for the Excellence Award, which went to her future teammate and roommate at Penn State, Belle Vernon senior Bailey Parshall.

Bisi is a three-time Tribune-Review softball all-star and two-time all-state selection.

She hit .706 last year with a 1.31 slugging percentage. She belted four home runs, three triples and 13 doubles, scored 22 runs and had 21 RBIs.

Derry (2-4, 1-3) is in fourth place in Section 1-4A.
