Delp reached the 100-win milestone of his varsity career with his pin of Connellsville’s Austin Lembo during the second round of the WPIAL Class AAA team tournament Jan. 30 at Kiski Area High School.
He helped the Cavaliers capture their third consecutive WPIAL team championship and go on to post a third-place finish at states.
Individually, Delp reached the medals stand at the PIAA tournament in March with an eighth-place finish.
His road to Hershey included a second consecutive Section 1-AAA title and a third-place medal at WPIALs.
Delp finished his junior season 44-8 overall, and 27 of the victories were by fall.
His campaign also was highlighted by a fourth-place finish (170) at the Powerade Tournament in late December and gold at 170 at the Westmoreland County tournament a week later.
He is the third Kiski Area product to join the Bucknell wrestling program in as many years, joining Noah Levett and Darren Miller, Cavalier graduates in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
