With the win the Cougars clinched a WPIAL playoff birth and eliminated Vincentian Academy from a possible postseason appearance.

The second set was the toughest for Carlynton. After building a 13-3 lead, the Cougars would struggle down the stretch, as Brentwood clawed back. But the Cougars, paced by Jordan Melko’s five kills, would prevail 25-21.
