Hampton Talbots Golden in Winning PIAA AA Boys Soccer State Crown

The only WPIAL boys soccer team to make it to the PIAA finals has returned home with a state championship. The Hampton Talbots outlasted District 12 champion Archbishop Wood Friday night to win the schools second boys soccer state crown. Jonathan Mercier scored the games only goal for Hampton at 42:44 in the second half. This marked the first outright state title for the Talbots, who were PIAA co-champs in 1990. Here are ALL the results from the 2010 PIAA Boys Soccer Playoffs as both Landisvile Hempfield in AAA and New Hope-Solebury in Class A also won state gold at Hersheypark Stadium.
