Greensburg Salem’s Anderson commits to Georgetown

Greensburg Salem senior Malia Anderson announced on Twitter that she will be attending Georgetown next fall and will compete on the track team.

Anderson picked Georgetown over an offer from Penn State.

Anderson recently competed at the Kevin Dare Invitational at Penn State and posted the fourth-fastest time nationally in the 800-meter run at 2 minutes, 14.46 seconds. The mark ranks first in the state.

She placed second in the 800 at the 2018 WPIAL championship, running in 2:11.60 and placed fourth at the PIAA championship in 2:13.22.
