■ McKEESPORT 36, FRANKLIN REGIONAL 16
McKeesport set the tone on its first drive. A big kickoff return by Devin Sims set up the 11-play, 57-yard drive that senior Konota Gaskins finished off with a 1-yard run.
■ MARS 38, KISKI AREA 0
Five turnovers, a pair of special teams breakdowns and some defensive lapses highlighted a night of miscues by Kiski Area.
■ PETERS TOWNSHIP 35, BETHEL PARK 0
Peters Township (7-2, 5-1) scored 35 points including a four-touchdown effort by sophomore quarterback Logan Pfeuffer, but the Indians won Friday with their defense.
ALLEGHENY
■ CENTRAL CATHOLIC 35, CANON-McMILLAN 7
While junior quarterback Gus Sunseri was leading the offensive attack, the defense held the Big Macs to just 158 offensive yards.
■ PINE-RICHLAND 21, SENECA VALLEY 7
Pine-Richland’s two-headed monster of Luke Meckler and Cole Spencer combined to rush for over 300 yards.
■ NORTH HILLS 21, SHALER 7
Senior Tyler Brennan carried the ball 32 times, piling up 152 yards rushing and scoring all three touchdowns for the Indians.
■ CENTRAL VALLEY 31, SOUTH PARK 7
The Warriors minimalized the Eagles’ offense, outgaining the birds 315-167 on the evening.
■ SETON LaSALLE 33, SERRA CATHOLIC 0
The Rebels defense held Serra Catholic to 123 total yards and didn’t allow the Eagles a single first down in the second half.
■ LAUREL 51, STO-ROX 26
In the first half, Laurel held the football for 19:37 compared to 4:23 for Sto-Rox as the Spartans took a 28-12 lead at halftime.
■ NORTH ALLEGHENY 26, WEST ALLEGHENY 20
The teams agreed earlier in the week to play the game with a running clock. But after clarifying the rules, the game was played as normal – almost.
■ QUAKER VALLEY 49, HOPEWELL 0
Ethan Moore added 122 passing yards and a touchdown for the Quakers (4-4, 4-2), who will wrap up the regular season next week against South Park.
WESTMORELAND
■ HEMPFIELD 31, BUTLER 14
Hempfield started fast and built a three-touchdown lead in the first half before holding on to defeat winless Butler.
■ MT. LEBANON 34, NORWIN 28
Mt. Lebanon quarterback Seth Morgan threw for one touchdown and rushed for another, and Everett Lefever and Drew Vaughn each rushed for touchdowns for the Blue Devils.
■ LATROBE 48, ALBERT GALLATIN 0
Latrobe (3-6, 3-4 Big East Conference) jumped on Albert Gallatin early, scoring 28 first-quarter points.
■ THOMAS JEFFERSON , GREENSBURG SALEM
Running back Max Shaw inflicted most of the damage for the Jaguars offense, racking up 286 yards and six touchdowns on 26 carries.
■ DERRY 37, DEER LAKES 0
Derry did all of its scoring before halftime. It smothered the Lancers in the first half as it forced three turnovers, blocked a punt and a registered a safety to build a 37-0 lead.
■ FREEPORT 41, MT. PLEASANT 7
Austin Romanchak ran for 115 yards and two touchdowns. He added a second-half scoring pass to Evan McCrea.
■ NORTH CATHOLIC 41, YOUGH 0
North Catholic (8-1, 6-1) ran for more than 300 yards and scored five rushing touchdowns against Yough (3-6, 3-4).
■ BELLE VERNON 48, PLUM 0
Down four starters, the Leopards had no issues dispatching of Plum, racing by the Mustangs, 48-0, at James Weir Stadium.
■ ROCHESTER 22, MONESSEN 14
Monessen nearly came back from a 14-point third-quarter deficit, but Rochester held on.

The loss eliminated Highlands (2-7, 2-5) from postseason contention.

The Class A No. 2 Bears started with a fumbled on their first possession for the third game in a row, but it didn’t matter.
■ FREEDOM 42, APOLLO-RIDGE 7
The Bulldogs built a four-touchdown lead at halftime.
■ LEECHBURG 28, BENTWORTH 0
Senior running back Bret Kardos led the Blue Devils with 158 rushing yards on 20 carries and a touchdown, and junior Jake Blumer finished with 65 yards on 14 carries.
■ RIVERSIDE 43, VALLEY 6
Riverside sophomore running back Hunter Nulph ran for 205 yards and two touchdowns.
■ WAYNESBURG 21, BURRELL 20
After allowing 21 first-half points, the Burrell defense tightened up in the second half and didn’t allow a touchdown.
