East Allegheny’s Amani Johnson named WBCA honorable mention All-American

East Allegheny senior Amani Johnson, who’ll graduate with 2,345 career points, earned honorable mention All-American honors from the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.
The WBCA chose 10 first-team All-Americans and 20 honorable mention picks this winter.
Johnson, a 5-foot-6 point guard and Kennesaw State recruit, averaged 26 points and led East Allegheny to a 27-2 record. Her team finished as the WPIAL Class 3A runner-up and reached the state semifinals.
She ranks 16th among WPIAL career scorers.
