Mount Lebanon and Hampton won the very first WPIAL boys lacrosse championships two years ago in 2009. After missing out last season, the gold rush continued for both the Blue Devils and Talbots in 2011. First time championships are always special. So you could say it was a very special night at Martorelli Stadium in the North Hills on Thursday as two schools celebrated their very first WPIAL girls lacrosse titles. Seneca Valley in Division I and North Hills in Division II captured the golden crowns...one in a tight thriller, the other in a one-sided affair.
