Winner: Earns seventh place in the WPIAL and a PIAA playoff berth
Coaches: Alan Bauman, Knoch; Bill Minear, Montour
Players to watch: Zane Pacek, Knoch; Jake Wolfe, Montour
Layup lines: Knoch lost to North Catholic, 69-52, in the first round of consolations Friday to fall into the seventh-place game. Zane Pacek, a 6-foot-11 forward, had 17 points. Teegan Finucan added 14 points, and Jackson Bauman added 12. The Knights have held teams to 53.5 ppg this season. … Montour fell to Avonworth, 64-56, on Friday. Jake Wolfe had 20 points, and Ama Sow added 15. Wolfe, a first-team all-state quarterback, is committed to Robert Morris. The Spartans won Section 4 with a 9-1 record. They average 62.8 points.
