Jack Colecchi
Kiski Area, Sr., WR/CB
A centerpiece of the potent Cavaliers passing game, Colecchi has a team-best 26 catches for 584 yards and four touchdowns through six weeks. He hauled in five for 89 yards and a score in last week’s close setback to Hampton. Colecchi hopes to be a factor this week as Kiski pays a visit to Woodland Hills for a nonconference clash at the venerable Wolvarena in Turtle Creek
William Guzzi
Plum, So., RB/DB
The Mustangs tailback has been a workhorse in the offense with 89 carries through six games. He tallied a season-high 160 rushing yards against Connellsville in Week 3 and has a total of 459 for the season. Plum hopes to snap a five-game losing streak this week as it travels to winless Albert Gallatin for a Big East Conference matchup.
Ricky Hunter
Freeport, Jr., RB/DB/K
The Yellowjackets’ defense limited the powerful running of Yough’s Dustin Shoaf to 83 yards last Friday, and Hunter was right in the middle of it all with 10 tackles. He is tied for second on the team in tackles with 28. In addition to his prowess on defense, Hunter has led Freeport’s special teams on kickoffs, punts and point-after conversions.
Keighton Reese
Apollo-Ridge, So., WR/DB
Conference foe Valley visits Owens Field on Friday, and Reese is expected to figure prominently in Apollo-Ridge’s plans to end a three-game losing streak. Reese is tied for the team lead in tackles (38) through six games. He had nine against Avonworth two weeks ago and 10 last Saturday with a fumble recovery against Shady Side Academy.
