Penn-Trafford spring athletes earn postseason honors

Four Penn-Trafford softball players were named first-team all-section in Section 1-5A.
The group included junior infielders Morgan Nedley and Emma Armstrong, senior outfielder Emma Nedley and freshman designated player Brooke Cleland.
Warriors coach Denny Little was named the coach of the year.
In addition, senior infielder Maura Mallon and sophomore pitcher Morgan Hilty were second-team selections.
Senior outfielder Becky Mertz and junior catcher Carlee Lamacz were honorable mentions.
Baseball
Several Penn-Trafford baseball players earned postseason honors.
Senior designated hitter Zach Mancz, a Pitt recruit, and junior outfielder Jordan Sabol were named first-team all-Section 2 in Class 6A.
Junior pitchers Tyler Horvat and Maclean Maund, senior catcher Josh Spiegel and junior infielder Cade Patterson were second-team selections.
Junior infielder Mario Disso and senior outfielder Ben Mongelluzzo were honorable mentions.
Boys volleyball
Penn-Trafford senior setter Nick Tarabrella was named first-team All-WPIAL in Class AAA.
Senior middle hitter Sean Kelly was a second-team All-WPIAL selection, and senior outside hitter Logan Paluzzi was a third-team honoree.
