Abby Todd, a junior and captain on the Shady Side Academy lacrosse team, helped the squad to a 6-0 start as she scored 12 goals with eight assists. A midfielder on the lacrosse team, she also plays on the field hockey and ice hockey teams and has been a three-year starter for all three teams. Here's a closer look at this week's Spotlight Athlete:

What is the best concert you've ever been to?

The Zac Brown Band. I've been to their last four concerts here.

What sport would you be playing if not lacrosse?

Field hockey. I'm being recruited for both.

What three words would you use to describe yourself?

Enthusiastic, friendly and motivated.

What is your favorite vacation destination?

The country of Bhutan. We used to live in China, and we would visit there. It's beautiful. They only allow 5,000 visitors a year there.

Do you watch any of the reality TV shows?

Not really.

What three items have to be in your refrigerator?

Raspberries, tofu and Phish Food ice cream.

If you could go somewhere you've never been before, where would you go?

Chile. I've never been to South America, and I think I'd like to experience it.

What is your favorite TV show?

“The Office.”

What would make up your all-time favorite meal?

Pamela's Day After breakfast special.

What junk food do you have a weakness for?

M&Ms. Either the plain, the mint or the pretzel ones. I never got into the peanut ones.

Is there a food you refuse to eat?

I'm a vegetarian, so no meat or poultry for me.

Who would you like to see disappear from public view?

Donald Trump.

Who would be your dream date?

Dave Franco.

People would be surprised to know that you …

Are a Buddhist.
