Amani Johnson, Lauren Wasylson earn All-Pennsylvania honors from USA Today

East Allegheny’s Amani Johnson and Mars’ Lauren Wasylson, two of the WPIAL’s top girls basketball players, earned All-Pennsylvania honors from USA Today on Tuesday.

Johnson, a 5-foot-6 senior and Kennesaw State commit, earned first-team honors. She averaged 26.3 points, 6.6 assists and 3.7 steals for East Allegheny.

Wasylson, a 6-foot senior and Xavier recruit, led Mars to the state Class 5A title. She averaged 16.9 points and seven rebounds.

Lancaster Catholic’s Kiki Jefferson was named Pennsylvania Player of the Year. Jenkintown’s Jim Romano was the state’s top coach.
