The Franklin Regional girls swimming and diving team claimed a title at the Westmoreland County Coaches Association meet over the weekend.
They just didn't find out until a day after the meet.
Because of a scoring error during the diving portion of the meet Friday, Hempfield was named the winner on Saturday with 344 points to Franklin Regional's 343.5.
On Sunday, it was discovered the Franklin Regional girls actually had more points and were named champions.
Finishing first for the FR girls were the 200 medley relay team of Abigail Ramey, Evelyn Siler, Lily Wang and Baylee Horvath (1:52.43); Ramey in the 200 IM (2:10.17); Michelle Lopes in the 100 free (53.90); and Laura DiNunzio in the 500 free (5:23.31).
Ramey also took second in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.14).
The boys team finished second to Penn-Trafford. Patrick Cavanaugh won the 200 IM (2:00.35), and Mason Fishell took first in diving (509.20).
