Class: Junior

Sport: Golf

Report card: Meyer shot a 5-over-par 75, including two birdies on the back nine, at Tuesday's WPIAL Class AAA semifinals held at the Links at Spring Church. His score was good enough to punch his ticket to next Tuesday's WPIAL Class AAA boys individual finals at Nemacolin Country Club. Earlier in the season, he tied a Fox Chapel record when he shot a 5-under 31 at the Pittsburgh Field Club. Meyer holds a 36 average so far this season.

How long have you been playing golf?

Since I was 2 years old.

What's your handicap?

It's a two.

Do you have any hole in ones?

No, I don't.

What is the most difficult course you've played on?

Probably Pinehurst No. 2.

What's your favorite course and favorite hole?

Oakmont's my favorite course, and my favorite hole is No. 18 at Oakmont.

What kind of driver do you use?

TaylorMade M1.

Who is your favorite golfer?

Jordan Spieth.

What three people would you like to have dinner with?

Arnold Palmer, Jordan Spieth and Eugene Promio, one of my friends.

What three words best describe you?

Patient. Athletic. Outgoing.

What actor should play you in a Hollywood movie?

Seth Rogen.

Do you have plans to golf in college?

I'd like to play golf in college; that's my main goal. I hope at West Virginia.

What is something interesting about you that nobody knows?

I'm pretty good at ping-pong. I'm a ping-pong enthusiast. Lily Litrun

Class: Freshman

Sport: Soccer

Report card: Not very many soccer players had a better week than Litrun. Last week, she tallied five goals against Section 2-2A foe Valley, added a pair against nonsection Keystone Oaks last Saturday and followed up with another in the Lancers' 4-3 loss to section rival Freeport. Litrun leads Deer Lakes in scoring with 13 goals from her center midfielder position. Last season in middle school, she led her team with 25 goals.

When and why did you start playing soccer?

I was 5, and I started playing because that was the only thing in West Deer that kept my interest.

How do you explain your recent scoring output?

It's all because of our team and our coaches. I've been with my coach since the beginning of my soccer career.

What are your first impressions of varsity soccer?

It's a lot more different than I thought it would be. It's a lot more physical, and you have to be fast to beat everyone.

Is Deer Lakes beginning to peak as a team?

We've grown together as payers and as friends throughout the season, and we've pulled together to make an amazing team.

What do the Lancers need to do better to reach the postseason?

I feel like we need to put our talents together.

What three people would you like to have dinner with?

There's only one, Cristiano Ronaldo.

What three words best describe you?

Independent. Stubborn. Funny.

What actress should play you in a Hollywood movie?

Lily Collins (Phil Collins' daughter)

What's your favorite thing about the fall months?

I like being with my friends, hanging out at football games and haunted houses. I like scary stuff.

What's your favorite subject at school?

It depends on the day, but normally math.

Something interesting about you that nobody knows?

I really like doing makeup and watching scary movies and stuff.

What's your favorite scary movie?

“The Gift.”
