Peters Twp and Sewickley Academy Win PIAA Girls Team Tennis Crowns

Three of the four finalists in the 2011 PIAA Girls Team Tennis Championships were from District 7 as 2011 WPIAL champions Peters Township in AAA and Sewickley Academy in AA became 2011 PIAA Girls Team Tennis champions Saturday in Hershey. For the fourth straight year, a pair of District 7 teams in the Class AAA finals as Peters Township beat defending state champion Shady Side Academy 5-0 to capture their third PIAA crown in six years. Meanwhile Sewickley Academy swpet past District 3 champion Wyomissing in the finals for the Panthers first ever state championship.
