MSA Sports Top Ten – WPIAL Boys Basketball Playoff Rankings 2013

Clarification alert. These are more seedings and rankings and there is a difference. The WPIAL does not rank the playoff teams from #1 through #16 and beyond. They rank the top four, then the next eight and start filing in the blanks from there which is not an easy task when you have upwards of 26 playoff teams.
When putting this together, we looked at every team to discover quality wins. Strength of section, avoiding upset losses and recent program success also comes into play. So teams with average records but some stand out victories may beat out those teams that got fat and happy record wise on a less than stellar schedule. Plus don’t forget the shuffling to avoid section teams from playing each other in the Preliminary Round or the First round.
Find out the actual matchups Tuesday night at 7:00pm by tuning in to the WPIAL Basketball Playoff Pairings Show only here on the MSA Sports Network.
