Winner plays: At No. 1 Moon (17-0) 6 p.m. Saturday in first round
Corner kicks: Belle Vernon and West Mifflin finished tied for fourth in Section 3 with 3-7 records. They split their matchups with a pair of 2-1 scores. … The Leopards have lost four of five, with all four losses coming via shutout. Trevor Kovatch has over 100 career goals. … Belle Vernon coach Al Yeschenko is from West Mifflin and teaches at the high school. … West Mifflin has lost eight of nine and has scored only 11 goals all season.

17-Greensburg Central Catholic (5-7) at 16-California (4-8-1)
6 p.m. Thursday, Trojan Stadium, Coal Center, California
Winner plays: At No. 1 Springdale (13-1) 6 p.m. Tuesday in first round
Corner kicks: Greensburg Central Catholic has only 12 players and had to scale down its schedule to only section games. The Centurions have not missed the playoffs since 1997. Riley Kerr, who has more than 100 career goals, is a St. Francis (Pa.) commit. GCC and Springdale are section opponents. … California finished fourth in Section 2 and has been outscored 48-16. Leah Hartley is the main scoring threat.
