Miles Frazier, Zack Angoff and Sean Scanlon scored to lead Mars (4-0-1, 2-0-1) to a 3-2 overtime victory over Indiana in Section 1-3A boys soccer Thursday. Russell Crane scored twice for Indiana (4-1, 2-1).
Avonworth 10, Mohawk 0 – Nathan Kline scored a pair of goals to lead Avonworth (3-1, 3-0) past Mohawk (0-4, 0-3) in Section 2-2A.
Beaver County Christian 6, South Side 0 – Liam Birchler and Robert McMahan each scored two goals and Rocco DeSarbo had two assists to lead Beaver County Christian (3-1, 1-0) past South Side (0-3, 0-1) in Section 1-A. Ethan Guevara and Josiah Bosch also scored.
Bentworth 6, Greensburg Central Catholic 0 – Adam Moessner led Bentworth (5-0, 1-0) with four goals and Ryan Moessner added one in a Section 2-A win over Greensburg Central Catholic (0-2-1, 0-1).
Bethel Park 11, McKeesport 1 – Xavier Jackson had three goals and three assists and Jackson Friday collected three goals and two assists to power Bethel Park (2-2, 2-1) past McKeesport (0-5, 0-3) in Section 2-3A. Youssef Benrabia added two goals and Julian Koontz, Max LeMessurier and Tyler Benlock also scored for the Black Hawks.
Canon-McMillan 2, Woodland Hills 0 – Gavin Patterson and Roman Pasquarelli scored, Adam Kuchera had an assist, and Logan Joseph recorded the shutout for Canon-McMillan (3-0-1, 1-0) in a Section 2-4A win over Woodland Hills (3-2, 0-1).
Carlynton 2, Brentwood 1 – Diego Tuapante and Yusef Sahin each scored to lead Carlnyton (4-2, 1-0) past Brentwood (3-1, 0-1) in a Section 3-A win.
Central Valley 2, Hopewell 1 – Cameron DeVincentis scored a pair of goals to lead Central Valley (5-0, 3-0) to a Section 2-2A win over Hopewell (1-1, 1-1) in Section 2-2A.
Chartiers-Houston 4, California 0 – Ashton Kennedy scored two goals and Treigh Maclivan and Ryan Thomas added a goal apiece to lead Chartiers-Houston (1-4, 1-0) to a Section 2-A win over California (0-2, 0-1).
Deer Lakes 6, Highlands 1 – Waylon Schiller had a pair of goals and Cuyler Crim, Keegan Landsberg, Peyton Kushon and Artemey Parshyn also scored to lift Deer Lakes (4-1, 2-1) past Highlands (2-2, 1-2) in Section 1-2A.
Elizabeth Forward 4, McGuffey 0 – Luca Valerio scored two goals and Dominic Cavalier and Aidan Davis added a goal each for Elizabeth Forward (2-2-1, 2-0-1) in a Section 3-2A win over McGuffey (3-2, 1-1).
Franklin Regional 10, Uniontown 0 – Joey Bayne scored four goals and Danny Christafano and Jovan Sankoorikal had two each as Franklin Regional (3-1, 2-0) beat Uniontown (1-3, 0-3) in Section 3-3A.
Gateway 8, Penn Hills 1 – Cam Simon had a hat trick and James LoCoco had two goals to lead Gateway (2-2, 1-0) past Penn Hills (0-4, 0-1) in Section 1-4A.
Hampton 5, Kiski Area 0 – Xavier Ware had a pair of goals and Matteo Sciulli, Caden Muchenski and Braden Cox each scored once to carry Hampton (2-0-1, 1-0-1) past Kiski Area (0-4, 0-3) in Section 1-3A.
Moon 2, West Allegheny 1 – Marc Haupt and Stephen Carvaja scored a goal apiece to lead Moon (6-0, 2-0) past West Allegheny (2-3, 1-1) in a Section 4-3A win.
Mt. Pleasant 2, Yough 0 – Ayden Gross and Tyler Kurtz scored for Mt. Pleasant (4-1, 3-0) in a Section 4-2A win over Yough (1-1-1, 1-1-1).
North Catholic 5, Freeport 0 – Angelo Amelio had two goals and Gabe Martins, Justin Garvey and Arthur Mendonca also scored for North Catholic (3-2, 2-1) in a Section 1-2A win over Freeport (3-1-1, 1-1-1). Brody Kennedy and Jack Spirnak each had two assists for the Trojans.
OLSH 7, Bishop Canevin 0 – Owen Minzer had a hat trick and Brady Hernandez had two goals to lead OLSH (3-0, 1-0) to a Section 3-A win over Bishop Canevin (1-4, 0-1). Wyatt Walsh and Peter Zink also scored for the Chargers.
Penn-Trafford 3, West Mifflin 0 – J.J. Porter, Chad Pusateri and Cooper Geyer scored a goal apiece to lead Penn-Trafford (2-1-1, 1-1-1) to a Section 3-3A win over West Mifflin (0-4, 0-3).
Peters Township 2, Mt. Lebanon 1 (OT) – Anthony Maiello scored the game-winner in overtime to lift Peters Township (3-1-1, 1-0) to a Section 2-4A victory over Mt. Lebanon (3-3, 0-1). Alex Parise also scored for the Indians.
Plum 2, Central Catholic 1 – Garrett Chandler and Bryce Bobich scored a goal each as Plum (3-0-2, 1-0) edged Central Catholic (0-4-1, 0-1) in Section 1-4A.
Seton LaSalle 2, Steel Valley 0 – Sal Pasquale and Tyler Kovalcik scored for Seton LaSalle (4-0, 3-0) in a Section 3-2A win over Steel Valley (1-3, 1-2).
Southmoreland 4, Derry 0 – Hunter Ryan had a hat trick, Christian Cook also scored, and Trent Nelson recorded the shutout to lead Southmoreland (4-2, 2-1) past Derry (2-4, 1-2) in Section 4-2A.
Springdale 5, St. Joseph 0 – Matthew Lawrence scored twice to lead Springdale (3-0, 1-0) past St. Joseph (1-4, 0-1) in Section 4-A. Noah Skaugen recorded the shutout in goal for the Dynamos.
Thomas Jefferson 2, Albert Gallatin 0 – Brayden Miller and Jake Shoemaker each scored for Thomas Jefferson (3-0-1, 2-0-1) in a Section 2-3A win over Albert Gallatin (0-3, 0-3).
Trinity Christian 4, Riverview 2 – Luke Schellhase had two goals and Jackson Galloway and Levi Mahtani also scored for Trinity Christian (3-1, 1-0) in a Section 4-A win. Chris O’Toole had two goals and Devin Murphy two assists for Riverview (0-2, 0-1).
Upper St. Clair 3, Connellsville 0 – Ben Murtough had two goals and Anderson Ploeger scored once for Upper St. Clair (2-2-1, 1-0) in a Section 2-4A victory over Connellsville (2-4, 0-1).

Ambridge 5, West Mifflin 1 – Norah Marchionda scored four goals and Abby Smith added a goal to lead Ambridge (4-2) to a nonsection win over West Mifflin (1-3).
Carlynton 5, Brownsville 0 – Riley Mauro led Carlynton (4-1) with two goals and Gigi Choate had a goal and three assists in a nonsection win over Brownsville (0-3-1).
Hampton 4, Allderdice 0 – Gigi Rudy and Olivia Hoffman each had a goal and an assist to lead Hampton (4-1) to a nonsection win over Allderdice (1-3). Emma Langer and Kendall Hoolahan also scored and Sara Kenst and Maria Zebrine added assists for the Talbots.
Keystone Oaks 5, Bishop Canevin 1 – Aly Simon recorded a hat trick for Keystone Oaks (4-2) in a nonsection win over Bishop Canevin (2-2). Brady Lugaila and Bella Bischoff added a goal apiece for the Golden Eagles.
Montour 2, Franklin Regional 1 – Ashley Janovich and Grace Bannon scored to lead Montour 4-1) to a nonsection victory. Caitlyn Chinchock scored for Franklin Regional (2-4).
Girls tennis
McGuffey 3, Avella 2 – The teams of Amber Henderson and Ava Young and Ella Smith and Koda Reyneir won in straight sets to sweep the doubles matches and lead McGuffey to a Section 2-2A victory. Nina Henderson also won at No. 2 singles for the Highlanders. Ava Franks at No. 1 singles and Taylor Shirley at No. 3 singles won for Avella.
Penn-Trafford 4, Hempfield 1 – Mia Williams, Elle LeJeune and Annabelle Aquino swept the singles matches for Penn-Trafford in a Section 1-3A win. Hempfield’s Jordyn Corona and Addison Jacobs took first doubles, while Penn-Trafford’s Kylie McKenzie and Felicity Larson won second doubles.
Girls volleyball
Brownsville 3, Washington 0 – Skyler Gates had 12 kills and eight blocks, Ashley Evanchak recorded 15 digs and Payton Evanchak added 11 assists, six service points and three kills for Brownsville in a Section 3-2A win.
Canon-McMillan 3, Hempfield 0 – Natalie Carr had 12 kills and three blocks and Abby Tucker added nine kills and four blocks to lead Canon-McMillan (3-0) to a nonsection win. Cali Dagen had eight kills and eight digs and Brooke Peters dished out 24 assists for the Big Macs.
Chartiers Valley 3, Trinity 0 – Payton Friburger led the Colts with 11 kills, Emerson Kutschbach collected 14 digs and Addison Varnish added 24 assists and four aces to help Chartiers Valley to a Section Section 1-3A win.
Frazier 3, Greensburg Central Catholic 2 – Allie Monack had 14 kills, Addison Hiles recorded 16 digs and Gracen Hartman dished out 40 assists to lead Frazier to a Section 4-A win. Grace Vaughn had 10 kills and 14 service points for the Commodores.
New Brighton 3, Freedom 0 – Karmen Briancesco had eight kills and 15 digs and Sundi Fazio had 18 assists for New Brighton in a Section 1-2A win over Freedom.
