Extra bases: The Falcons defeated Palmyra, 3-2, in eight innings to finish fifth in District 3. … Virginia commit catcher Hunter Strohm heads a strong senior class. … Shortstop Westerberg and pitcher/infielder Ian Duff have committed to play baseball at Frederick Community College, and pitcher/fielder Trey Harper is committed to Messiah. … The Falcons were preseason favorites in the Mid-Penn Keystone League. … Lower Dauphin made the PIAA playoffs in 2023. … Penn-Trafford defeated Bethel Park, 4-3, to win its first WPIAL title. … The Warriors finished third in 2023 and defeated No. 1 Central Mountain in the opening round of the PIAA playoffs. … Temple had two hits including a two-run triple against Bethel Park, and Brayden Stone doubled home the eventual winning run. … Three Warriors have at least 12 RBIs. Ethan Septak leads with 23, and Jason Sabol has 21. Septak has four home runs and Temple three. Chuck Fontana leads with 28 hits. … Brayden Stone is hitting .396 with eight doubles and three triples, and Sabol is hitting .320 with five doubles and two home runs. … Pitchers Brandon Roher has four wins, and Dom Delio and Zach Feldman have three wins each.

It defeated West Allegheny, 3-2, to earn a berth in the state playoffs. … Blake Bertucci and Devin DeRiggi share the team leads with 23 hits and 19 RBIs. … Luke Williams and Cole Brinker have scored 21 runs. … Max Bernadowski is 8-1 with a 2.70 ERA. … The District 6 champions defeated District 8’s Obama Academy, 5-1, in a Sub-Regional game. … Kensinger is 8-0 with a 1.06 ERA. He also batted .397 with 25 hits, 26 RBIs, 21 runs scored, eight doubles and six home runs. … Jake Hileman is hitting .486 with 34 hits, 19 RBIs, 28 runs scored, eight doubles and four triples.
