The changes kept coming from last week in the three highest classifications, while the waters calmed a bit in the lower three classes in the latest Trib HSSN state softball rankings.
Four teams dropped out of the state rankings in 6A, 5A and 4A combined, while 3A, 2A and A only saw a little bit of a shuffle among the top five with only one falling out of this week’s rankings.
The door was opened for a new fab five teams as Quakertown in 6A, North Hills and Donegal in 5A, Hamburg in 4A and West Branch in A all made their debut into the HSSN statewide Top 5.
There were two changes at the top as South Western took over for Marple Newtown at No. 1 in 5A and Union took over for Claysburg-Kimmel on top in Class A.
