Jake Federouch struck out six and walked two in a complete game no-hitter, lifting Chartiers Valley to a 1-0 win over Elizabeth Forward (5-7, 2-6) in Section 3-4A baseball Tuesday. Jared Pryor singled in the only run needed for the Colts (8-2, 6-2).

Ambridge 4, Beaver 3 – Liam Baker drove in two runs and Adam Fernandez went 3 for 4 with an RBI and picked up a save in a Section 1-4A win for Ambridge (4-7, 2-6). Ty Butler collected two base hits and two RBIs for Beaver (6-9, 2-6). Joey Pugh was the winning pitcher for the Bridgers.

Avonworth 3, Keystone Oaks 2 – Cooper Scharding struck out 11 in six innings for the win and Brandon Sapolsky got the save as Avonworth (10-7, 6-2) edged out Keystone Oaks (4-7, 4-4) in Section 2-3A. Nathan Rohe and Anthony Liebero doubled for the Golden Eagles.

Belle Vernon 9, Albert Gallatin 4 – Adam LaCarte and Cole Matusik hit a double apiece for Belle Vernon (10-2, 7-1) in a Section 2-4A win over Albert Gallatin (2-10, 2-5). Winning pitcher Alex Nash struck out eight.

Bishop Canevin 14, Clairton 2 – Tyler Maddix tripled and had six RBIs, Mason Glover hit a pair of triples, doubled and drove in two runs, and Quentin White went 3 for 4 with a double and a pair of RBIs as Bishop Canevin (9-3, 7-2) rolled to a Section 3-A win. Adonte Wiggins singled and drove in a run for Clairton (3-7, 2-6). Jackson Maddix got the win for the Crusaders.

Burgettstown 16, Bentworth 1 – James Leuice doubled and Matt Bredel went 2 for 2 with three RBIs to lead Burgettstown (4-3-1, 4-1) to a Section 1-2A win. Ben Hays singled and drove in a run for Bentworth (2-8, 2-7).

Burrell 12, Derry 7 – Isaac Lacinski went 3 for 3 with a double and five RBIs, Ryan Bates drove in two runs and Ryan Wass went 3 for 4 with an RBI as Burrell (7-5, 6-4) rolled to a Section 3-3A win. Max Doherty went 2 for 3 with a pair of RBIs for Derry (3-5, 3-4).

Butler 14, Allderdice 8; Butler 4, Allderdice 3 – Butler (5-8, 3-5) took both games of a doubleheader against Allderdice (1-12, 0-11) in Section 1-6A.

In the first game, Carson Bish hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of seventh for Butler. Brendan Stecik went 3 for 3 for Allderdice. Boden Lenyk hit three doubles and Tanner Pry picked up the win for the Golden Tornado.

In the second game, Boden Lenyj went 3 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs and Liam McElroy tripled, doubled and knocked in three for the Golden Tornado. Lukas Stead drove in three for Allderdice.

Canon-McMillan 10, Baldwin 0 – Winning pitcher M.J. Maruschak went seven shutout innings and struck out six while Alexander Shank hit a two-run blast and Sam Meredith doubled twice as Canon-McMillan (6-7, 6-5) blanked Baldwin (1-13, 0-10) in Section 2-6A.

Carmichaels 6, Avella 2 – Mason Lapana drove in two runs and Colin Andrews hit a double to lead Carmichaels (8-2, 6-2) to a Section 1-A win. Brayden Fuller and Isaiah Bradick doubled for Avella (7-3, 6-3).

Central Valley 5, Hopewell 3 – In Section 1-4A, Daniel McIntosh pitched Central Valley (8-5, 6-2) to a win while Antonio Perri and Will Ciucci each drove in a pair of runs. John Vescio went 2 for 3 with a home run and three RBIs for Hopewell (6-7, 3-5).

Charleroi 2, Frazier 1 – A two-run first inning was all the offense winning pitcher Daryl Beveride needed for Charleroi (8-3, 6-2) in a Section 1-2A win. Tyler O’Neil went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI for Charleroi. Chase Fulmer and Dailan McManus each doubled for Frazier (4-8, 2-5).

Chartiers-Houston 16, Washington 2 – Anthony Romano hit a three-run home run and Aaron Walsh drove in a pair to give winning pitcher Brady Gotfredson plenty of run support as Chartiers-Houston (6-4, 6-1) clobbered Washington (6-6, 4-4) in Section 1-2A. Ayvari Chandler doubled for the Prexies.

Connellsville 10, Bethel Park 1 – Ethan Shultz went 3 for 3 with two doubles to lead Connellsville (7-7, 4-4) to a Section 2-5A win over Bethel Park (7-5-1, 5-3). Grayden Gillott hit three singles and Anthony Piasecki drove in three runs for the Falcons.

Cornell 8, Sewickley Academy 4 – CJ Jackson and Colton Mozuch hit a home run apiece for Cornell (2-7, 2-6) in a Section 3-A win. Nolan Donnelly and Jacob Stanislaw each tripled for Sewickley Academy (2-8, 2-6).

Eden Christian 15, Monessen 0 – Caleb Emswiler went 2 for 2 with a double and four RBIs and Noah Emswiler drove in three runs for Eden Christian (11-3, 10-0) in a Section 3-A win over Monessen (0-11, 0-7).

Franklin Regional 6, Armstrong 2 – Max Bernadowski collected two hits and three RBIs, Cole Brinker doubled twice and drove in two, and Blake Bertucci picked up the win as Franklin Regional (9-4, 7-1) beat Armstrong (5-7, 3-7) in Section 1-5A. Rory Pschirer went 3 for 3 and knocked in a run for the River Hawks.

Greensburg Central Catholic 6, Apollo-Ridge 0 – Ethan Brody, Tyree Turner and Grant Miller combined on a two-hit shutout with eight strikeouts for Greensburg Central Catholic (6-2, 5-1) in a Section 3-2A win. Tyler Samide homered for GCC. Brayden McCracken hit two singles for Apollo-Ridge (2-9, 2-7).

Hampton 14, Highlands 12 – Ryan Scully hit the go-ahead RBI single during a six-run seventh inning for Hampton (6-5, 4-4) in a comeback win in Section 4-4A. Sean Sullivan homered and Ethan Phillips pitched a scoreless seventh for the Talbots. Kristian Kocon and Luke Bombalski each doubled and homered for Highlands (2-11, 1-7).

Jefferson-Morgan 10, Mapletown 0 – Brayden Ellsworth and Brenton Barnhart drove in three runs apiece and winning pitcher John Woodward doubled for Jefferson-Morgan (5-6, 3-6) in a Section 1-A win over Mapletown (2-9, 0-7).

Kiski Area 11, Knoch 7 – Nate Witt went 3 for 4 with two doubles and six RBIs, Noah Matson doubled and drove in a run and John DeLuca went 4 for 5 as Kiski Area (8-5, 5-3) put four runs across the plate in the top half of the ninth for a Section 4-4A win. Cooper Allison and Logan Cypher each drove in two runs for Knoch (3-8, 2-6).

Latrobe 14, Uniontown 6 – Eli Boring hit a home run and Luke Nipar-Smith doubled to lead Latrobe (12-1, 8-0) to a Section 2-4A win. Tate Musko hit a double and home run for Uniontown (4-6, 3-4).

Laurel 1, New Brighton 0 – Hunter Kobialka tossed a one-hit complete game shutout and Jacob McBride drove in the only run as Laurel (6-5, 4-5) beat New Brighton (5-5, 3-5) in Section 2-2A. Dylan Pushak doubled for the Lions’ only hit.

Leechburg 6, Springdale 5 – Mason Bertino hit the game-winning RBI single in the top of the 10th to lift Leechburg (6-6, 5-4) to a Section 2-A win. Dustin Werksman walked with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth to tie it for Springdale (4-4, 4-3). Randy Rollinger hit a go-ahead RBI single in the top of the ninth for the Blue Devils. Jayden Floyd earned the win. Andrew Redman had three hits and two RBIs for Springdale.

McGuffey 13, Brownsville 2 – Ryan Keith drove in three runs to lead McGuffey (5-4, 5-3) to a Section 4-3A win. Jeremiah McDonald doubled for Brownsville (0-10, 0-10).

McKeesport 13, Woodland Hills 2 – Brady Boyle tripled and drove in four runs and Colton Kotouch singled and plated a pair as McKeesport (2-10, 2-6) defeated Woodland Hills (0-10, 0-8) in Section 3-4A. Garret Tarker got the win for the Tigers.

Montour 12, Blackhawk 2 – Jason George hit a double and home run, Maddox Tarquinio tripled and Andrew Porto and Jonathan Cecil each doubled for Montour (12-1, 8-0) in a Section 1-4A win. Loghan Elich singled and drove in two for Blackhawk (4-6, 3-5). Jake Robinson struck out 10 and allowed two hits for the Spartans.

Moon 6, Mars 2 – Marco Chenet smashed a two-run double, Troy Sallis, Dom Palarino and Nate Lesher each drove in a run and Joey Marasco got the win for Moon (5-7, 3-5) in a Section 3-5A win. Charles Bickel went 2 for 3 with a double for Mars (6-4, 4-4).

Mt. Pleasant 7, Yough 1 – Ryan McKula drove in three runs and Luke Nicotera tripled to lead Mt. Pleasant (9-4, 7-1) to a Section 4-3A win. Zander Aird doubled for Yough (4-7, 4-3).

Neshannock 6, Shenango 4 – Joey Veronesi drove in two runs and Dom Cubellis hit a double to lead Neshannock (6-6, 4-3) to a Section 1-3A win. Joey Campoli, Jason Malley and Sam Patton doubled for Shenango (6-6, 5-3).

North Catholic 3, Indiana 2 – Tommy Koroly smashed a solo homer while Landon Eifler and Ryan Shantz each doubled as North Catholic (7-3, 7-1) bested Indiana (7-5, 5-2) in Section 4-4A. Ben Ryan and Charlie Manzi each doubled for the Little Indians. Caden Williams was the winning pitcher and Eifler got the save for the Trojans.

Norwin 5, Central Catholic 4 – Jackson Huss hit a game-winning RBI single in the top of the eighth to lift Norwin (7-7, 5-5) past Central Catholic (7-8, 4-7) in Section 2-6A. C.J. Proch was 2 for 4 with a triple and a run driven in for the Vikings.

Penn-Trafford 15, Penn Hills 1 – Jason Sabol tripled, doubled and knocked in three runs, Eric Biroscak belted a three-run double and Ethan Septak hit a solo home run as Penn-Trafford (11-1, 7-1) defeated Penn Hills (0-11, 0-10) in Section 1-5A. Robbie Andrews picked up the win for the Warriors.

Peters Township 5, Upper St. Clair 2 – Will Somers drove in two runs and Carter Shanafelt and Zachary Miner doubled to lead Peters Township (6-8, 3-5) to a Section 2-5A win. Nolan Wilson singled for Upper St. Clair (5-9, 3-5).

Ringgold 3, Laurel Highlands 0 – James Nash allowed only three hits and struck out five in a complete-game shutout to lead Ringgold (5-7, 3-5) to a Section 2-4A win over Laurel Highlands (0-11, 0-8). Gavin Angotti hit two doubles, tripled and drove in two for the Rams.

Riverside 13, Quaker Valley 1 – Hunter Garvin went 3 for 4 with a double and Zack Hare singled and doubled to lead Riverside (9-0, 8-0) to a Section 1-3A win. Nolan Wagoner singled for Quaker Valley (3-9, 2-8).

Riverview 11, Ligonier Valley 0 – Eli DeVita went 3 for 4 with two doubles and three RBIs and winning pitcher Johnny Bertucci went 3 for 5 and knocked in two as Riverview (8-3, 5-2) shut out Ligonier Valley (4-8, 2-6) in Section 3-2A. Duncan Foust doubled and singled for the Rams.

Seneca Valley 8, North Allegheny 7 – Nick Parrotto walked it off for Seneca Valley (7-5-1, 4-4) in the eighth with an RBI single as the Raiders won a Section 1-6A contest. Kallen Durbin went 4 for 4 with a double and three RBIs, Parrotto finished with two RBIs and Mike Delduca got the win for Seneca Valley. Matthew Parreaguirre was 3 for 4 with a double for North Allegheny (10-3, 7-1).

Serra Catholic 17, Jeannette 1 – Winning pitcher Owen Dumbrosky doubled and drove in four runs, Tyler Skaggs hit a two-run double and Zach Black went 2 for 4 with a home run and a pair of RBIs as Serra Catholic (11-0, 8-0) rocked Jeannette (6-4, 4-3) in Section 3-2A. Wyatt Schaeffer doubled for the Jayhawks.

Seton LaSalle 22, Freedom 6 – Michael Todd went 3 for 4 with four RBIs, Aric White collected three hits and three RBIs and Josh Burkholder drove in two as Seton LaSalle (10-1, 9-0) cruised to a Section 2-2A victory. Boden Hilliard went 4 for 4 with an RBI for Freedom (7-5, 5-3). Mark Weber picked up the win for the Rebels.

Shady Side Academy 7, Freeport 5 – Jonah Sackrowitz hit a two-run double while Matt Long and Brady Trischler each doubled and drove in a run for Shady Side Academy (7-3, 6-2) in a Section 3-3A win. Ryan Claypool drove in a pair of runs for Freeport (3-9, 3-7).

Shaler 5, North Hills 2 – Luke Jarzynka singled and tripled and Brady Alexander had a single and double to lead Shaler (11-3, 6-3) past North Hills (9-3, 6-2) in a Section 3-5A win.

South Park 18, Steel Valley 9 – Dan Pepke and Ryan Spitznagel each doubled and finished with four RBIs while Zach Ludwig drove in three as South Park (7-5, 5-3) doubled up Steel Valley (3-8, 2-6) in Section 2-3A. Adam Keesecker went 3 for 4 with a double and a pair of RBIs for the Ironmen.

Trinity 15, South Fayette 5 – Matthew Robaugh went 2 for 5 with a home run and four RBIs and Gibson Havanis went 4 for 5 with a pair of doubles and drove in five as Trinity (6-5, 5-3) racked up 20 hits in a Section 2-5A victory. Gino Satira and Tyler Skeen each doubled and drove in a run for South Fayette (5-5, 4-4). Karson Hathaway got the win for the Hillers.

Union 22, Summit Academy 2; Union 23, Summit Academy 0 – Union (7-0, 6-0) swept a Section 2-1A doubleheader against Summit Academy (0-6 0-6).

In the first game, Landon Eckert went 3 for 3 with a triple, a double and three RBIs while Anthony Roper and Mike Gunn each doubled as Union scored all 22 of its runs in the first inning. Cole Harper got the win for the Scotties.

In the second game, Landon Eckert doubled and drove in a run for Union. Sergio Hill had the only hit for Summit. Rocco Galmarini was the winning pitcher for the Scotties.

Valley 8, East Allegheny 1 – Tyler Danko and Wesley Schrock drove in two runs apiece as Valley (8-4, 5-3) swept a two-game Section 3-3A series. Ryan Rupert hit a double for East Allegheny (7-4, 4-4). Winning pitcher Jacob Staraniec gave up one run in five innings, and Danko pitched two scoreless innings of relief for the Vikings.

Waynesburg 7, Southmoreland 0 – Trenton Zupper fanned six in 5⅔ innings and Austin Surber struck out three in 1⅓ innings as Waynesburg (10-0, 8-0) no-hit Southmoreland (2-10, 2-8) in Section 4-3A. Kory Taylor drove in three runs for the Raiders.

West Allegheny 15, New Castle 0 – Ben Kern and Brody Malatak hit a double apiece for West Allegheny (8-2, 6-2) in a Section 3-5A win. Angelo DeSalvo went 2 for 2 for New Castle (0-14, 0-9).

West Greene 8, Fort Cherry 7 – Darren Knight hit a home run, Johnny Lampe tripled and Colten Thomas had two singles to lead West Greene (6-3, 5-3) past Fort Cherry (8-2, 6-2) in a Section 1-A win.

Western Beaver 10, St. Joseph 3 – Luke Trimble went 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI and Binny Ross had two hits and three RBIs to lead Western Beaver (5-3, 5-1) to a Section 2-A win. Elliott Szalla singled, doubled and drove in a pair and Owen Swanson had two hits and an RBI for St. Joseph (2-9, 2-6).

Apollo-Ridge 16, Brentwood 6 – Jocelyn Snyder struck out nine and hit a double and Addison Gercia, Jaden Mull and MaKenna Syster hit a double apiece to lead Apollo-Ridge (5-4, 5-2) to a Section 2-2A win. Abbey Fickley doubled for Brentwood (3-6, 2-5).

Baldwin 7, Pine-Richland 6 – Jordan Gerendash went 2 for 3 with a home run and three RBIs to lead Baldwin (4-8, 3-7) to a Section 1-6A win. Mackenzie Gillis and Izzy Sulesky hit a home run apiece for Pine-Richland (6-7, 5-5).

Bishop Canevin 18, St. Joseph 6 – Cam Lokaitis had two singles, a triple and four RBIs, Amari Elliott homered and Lexi Summers doubled to lead Bishop Canevin (2-6, 2-4) to a Section 3-A win. Julie Spinelli doubled and Violet Hill drove in two runs for St. Joseph (1-5, 1-5). Bella Lane went 3 for 3 with two RBIs for the Crusaders.

Blackhawk 17, Ambridge 1 – Brynn Hysong went 3 for 4 witha triple and two RBIs and Zoey Linder had three hits and four RBIs for Blackhawk (3-4, 2-4) in a Section 3-4A win. Jaylynn Campbell tripled for Ambridge (0-9, 0-6).

California 4, Avella 2 – Kera Urick struck out 11 and hit a triple for California (1-9, 1-7) in a Section 2-A win. Serenity Bradbury doubled for Avella (3-9, 0-8).

Carmichaels 7, West Greene 3 – Ali Jacobs hit two doubles and Carys McConnell doubled to lead Carmichaels (7-2, 4-1) to a Section 2-A win. Payton Gilbert hit a double for West Greene (6-4, 5-2). Winning pitcher Bailey Barnyak struck out 10 for the Mighty Mikes.

Charleroi 9, Burgettstown 6 – Madalynn Lancy and Lyla Brunner drove in two runs apiece and Sofia Celaschi doubled to lead Charleroi (9-2, 6-2) to a Section 3-2A win. Layla Sherman hit a double and home run for Burgettstown (4-7, 3-4).

Freedom 9, New Brighton 3 – Hayden Baucan and Janna Kline hit two singles apiece for Freedom (2-7, 2-6) in a Section 1-2A win. Alexis Wall and Amariona Stanford each singled for New Brighton (2-10, 1-8).

Laurel 10, Shenango 0 – Autumn Boyd struck out 11 and hit two doubles and Lexi Krol hit a grand slam for Laurel (7-4, 5-2) in a Section 1-2A win. Emma Herb hit a double for Shenango (7-5, 7-2).

McGuffey 5, Waynesburg 2 – Julia Barr hit a double for McGuffey (7-3, 4-2) in a Section 4-3A win. Aidan Snider doubled and Gina Tedrow struck out 12 for Waynesburg (6-7, 4-3).

Montour 11, Beaver 5 – Hailey Staub and Jana Hess hit a double and home run apiece, Shania Cope homered and Emily McClean tripled to lead Montour (5-5, 5-4) to a Section 3-4A win. Abby Hojdila and Olivia Tabone each doubled for Beaver (2-9, 1-6).

Mt. Pleasant 10, South Allegheny 5 – Dani Trainer went 3 for 4 with a double and Emma Scanlon went 3 for 3 to lead Mt. Pleasant (6-6, 2-4) to a Section 3-3A win. Cadence McBride and Morgan Mosqueda doubled for South Allegheny (5-6, 3-4).

North Allegheny 7, Canon-McMillan 3 – McKenna Rowlands hit a double and home run, Carlyn Vaupel hit a double and triple and Olivia Carlson hit two doubles to lead North Allegheny (7-3, 7-3) to a Section 1-6A win. Olivia Ford and Kiersten Williams homered for Canon-McMillan (4-5, 4-5).

Northgate 8, Carlynton 7 – Johna Abramowicz struck out 14 and hit a double for Northgate (4-6, 4-4) in a Section 1-A win over Carlynton (4-7, 3-6).

Sewickley Academy 9, Rochester 7 – Quincy Sirko struck out nine and went 3 for 3 and Keira Church and Sanaa Grant each doubled to lead Sewickley Academy (1-6, 1-6) to a Section 1-A win. Emily Weese and Samantha Moore had a double and two RBIs apiece for Rochester (3-7, 2-6).

Union 17, South Side 0 – Mia Pruehs threw a four-inning no-hitter, struck out 10 and hit a home run for Union (13-1, 11-0) in a Section 1-A win over South Side (6-3, 5-1). Addie Nogay went 4 for 4 with a double, two home runs and nine RBIs and Irelyn Fisher hit two doubles for the Scotties.

Boys volleyball

Hempfield 3, Armstrong 1 – Drew Gordon had 11 kills to lead Hempfield to a nonsection win.

North Allegheny 3, Shaler 1 – Will Robertson had 24 kills to lead North Allegheny over Shaler, splitting the season series between Section 2-3A rivals. The Titans won the first meeting Friday. Brendan Moore added 12 kills, Peter Bratish had 10, Will Hah recorded 20 digs and Nicolas Carioto handed out 30 assists for the Tigers. Dante Palombo had 12 kills and Peyton Planz added 12 for Shaler.

North Catholic 3, Ambridge 2 – Lucas Gunther had 19 kills and three aces, Drew Palmer added 17 kills, Nate Ball finished with eight kills and two aces and Trey Purnsley had eight kills as North Catholic (9-1, 7-1) bested Ambridge (7-3, 7-1) in Section 1-2A. Liam Cooke had 49 assists for the Trojans.

Penn-Trafford 3, Peters Township 0 – Ezra Glenn had 13 kills and Bradley Heinbaugh added nine kills, six digs and two aces to lead Penn-Trafford to a nonsection win. Keith Otto had seven kills and four aces and Drew Sherwin handed out eight assists.

Girls lacrosse

Upper St. Clair 14, Canon-McMillan 13 – Sidney Schalk scored four goals while Calla Dressler, Mea Musillo and Kat Mammarella each netted two as Upper St. Clair (8-3, 5-1) defeated Canon-McMillan (7-3, 3-3) in Section 1-3A.
