With good weather this past week, there were a lot of high school baseball games played across the state, which has led to plenty of changes to the Trib HSSN state baseball rankings.
In all, there were 11 teams that fell out of the top 5 in the six classifications, with Class 6A and 5A taking the biggest hit with seven of the 10 teams out from last week and seven new squads hoping to remain among the elite in Pa. for a while.
It was a rough week for schools named Hempfield.
Hempfield Area in Greensburg and Hempfield High in Landisville both dropped out of the Class 6A rankings.
It was also a tough week for top-ranked teams as three of them are now former No. 1 teams with Shaler in 5A, Bellefonte in 4A and Sharpsville in 2A being replaced by Mechanicsburg, Cathedral Prep and Serra Catholic.
