The first Trib HSSN state softball rankings held up quite nicely with very few changes to the second edition.
Only three teams dropped out of the rankings from last week with two of them in Class 2A.
Abington Heights in 5A and Bald Eagle and Sharpsville in 2A fell, thus opening the door for South Western, Bristol and Marion Center to debut in the 2024 softball Top 5.
There was some movement at the top as two teams dropped in the rankings.
Northern York fell from No. 1 to No. 5 in Class 5A as undefeated Shaler takes over at the top, while Tri-Valley fell from No. 1 to 5 in Class A, opening the door for Claysburg-Kimmel to take over the top spot.
The other four classifications remain the same at the top with North Penn in 6A, Blue Mountain in 4A, Mid Valley in 3A and Everett in 2A still at No. 1.
