As is the tradition following the WPIAL basketball championships, the freshly minted district champions get the first seats at the power rankings table prior to the start of the state playoffs.
So this week’s Trib 10 has the six new champs along with four teams that had to settle for silver at The Pete.
There was a little bit of shuffling, but the 10 boys teams stayed intact this week with Class 4A champion Lincoln Park still at No. 1 as it has been all season.
There was a little more shuffling on the girls side of the power rankings, with former No. 1 Oakland Catholic falling in the semifinals and third-place game last week, so they are bumped for Class 2A champion Greensburg Central Catholic.
Class 6A champion Norwin remains at the top of the list on the girls side.
Now, there is no more safety net as each team’s next loss will be its last as the Road to Hershey opens up this weekend with first-round action.
Here are the latest Trib 10 basketball power rankings with overall records and last week’s rankings. These rankings have zero classification boundaries.
