North Allegheny is the other section team with a 2-0 record. The Tigers also are perfect on the season at 4-0 as they travel to Butler. The lone loss on the Golden Tornado’s 2-1-1 overall record is a 3-2 section loss to Seneca Valley in overtime.
More boys soccer fights for first
There is a three-way tie for first place in Section 1-2A between South Park, East Allegheny and Woodland Hills, all with 2-0 section records.
Traditional power South Park heads eat to face Woodland Hills. The Eagles are 4-0 overall while the Wolverines are 2-1 with a nonsection loss to Trinity Christian.
In Section 2-A, two teams are deadlocked for the early lead with defending champion Deer Lakes and Shady Side Academy both 2-0.
The Lancers (3-0 overall) will host the Bulldogs (2-0) on Tuesday.
Finally in Section 4-A, there is a six-way tie for first place. That’s because every team is 0-0 since the section schedule hasn’t kicked off, until Tuesday.
The three section openers are Chartiers-Houston at Carlynton, Brentwood hosting Serra Catholic and Seton LaSalle visiting Bishop Canevin.
