The WPIAL’s leading scorer is headed to the Great Plains.
Recent Woodland Hills graduate Keandre Bowles, a 28.9-point scorer, announced Sunday his commitment to Barton College in Great Bend, Kan.
The team competes in Division I of the National Junior College Athletic Association.
The 6-foot-3 guard was a Trib 10 all-star and earned second-team all-state honors.
The 1,240-point career scorer twice had more than 40 points in a game last season including a school-record 43. He scored 30 or more points 10 times.
He led the Wolverines (18-9) to the WPIAL Class 5A quarterfinals.
Barton went 25-8 overall last season and 15-8 in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference.
First and foremost I want to thank God for giving me this opportunity to play the sport i love on the next level. Next I would like to thank my family, friends, and coaches who supported me with my decision and pushed me to get to this point. Barton is my next stop‼️#JUCOPRODUCT pic.twitter.com/pFTtkOUYp0
