Blackhawk got coach Bob Amalia his 300th career victory in style.

Chris Deluca fired a no-hitter, and John Malagise hit a two-run homer as the No. 1 Cougars rolled to a 10-0, five-inning victory over Section 2-4A opponent Ambridge that gave their 20-year coach a new milestone.

Deluca pitched five innings, walking three and striking out two. Ray Knally went 3 for 4 with a triple and three RBIs, Marco Borello doubled and drove in a pair and Jarrett Wright added a triple and an RBI.

Despite an ongoing battle with cancer, Amalia has Blackhawk (9-3, 7-1) atop Section 2-4A. He also was an assistant on the girls basketball team.

In addition to his 300 wins, Amalia led Blackhawk to WPIAL championships in 2004, 2012 and 2017.
