Journey Thompson’s remarkable spring continues.
In the past two weeks, the Peters Township freshman scored 16 points in the PIAA Class 6A championship, celebrated a perfect 30-0 season and added two Division 1 scholarship offers.
The most recent came this week from Kent State, joining the Pitt offer she announced March 23.
The 6-foot-1 forward averaged 12.8 points and 7.7 rebounds for Peters Township, which became the fourth girls basketball team in WPIAL history to win a state title with an undefeated record.
Thompson shot 59 percent (170 of 286).
