Herald spotlight athlete: Fox Chapel’s Arnold Vento

Arnold Vento, a 6-foot-4 junior guard on the Fox Chapel basketball team, has been instrumental in the team’s successful season. The Foxes have clinched second place in the section and a spot in the WPIAL playoffs. Vento is also on the golf team. He hopes to continue playing basketball in college.

Here’s a closer look at this week’s Spotlight Athlete:

If you could go somewhere you’ve never been, where would you go?

Arizona.

What sport would you be involved with if not basketball or golf?

Baseball.

Were you happy with the Super Bowl results?

No. I was rooting for the Rams.

What TV show makes you want to change the channel?

Any of the reality shows.

What movie could you watch over and over?

“Happy Gilmore.”

What is your favorite vacation destination?

Italy. I’ve been there twice.

Is there a food you refuse to eat?

Asparagus.

If you’re eating a hot dog, are you a ketchup or mustard kind of guy?

Ketchup.

Who would be your dream date?

Jennifer Aniston.

Who would you like to see disappear from public view?

Any Kardashian.

What would make up your favorite all-time meal?

Steak, bacon and a loaded baked potato.

What is your favorite TV show?

I really don’t watch much TV.

What junk food do you have a weakness for?

Rice Krispie Treats.

My mother’s maiden name is also Vento.
