Sewickley Academy hockey hoping for key two points against North Hills

Sole possession of fourth place in the North Division of PIHL Varsity A is on the line Monday as Sewickley Academy skates against North Hills at 7:15 p.m. at Robert Morris University’s Island Sports Center.
Both the Panthers and Indians own 7-5 records and 14 points in the standings.
Sewickley Academy has won three of its past four games including a 4-3 victory over Freeport to open the New Year last Monday.
North Hills has suffered losses in two of its past three games.
QV girls basketball seeks to stop skid
The Quaker Valley girls basketball team hopes to stop a two-game losing streak in Section 2-4A as it hosts Ambridge on Monday evening.
The game caps the first cycle of section play. The Quakers enter the matchup 6-5 overall and 2-3 in the section.
Ambridge, New Castle and Hopewell are tied for fifth in the section with 1-4 records. QV holds down the final playoff in the standings.
Sewickley Academy girls hoops faces Eden Christian
The Sewickley Academy girls basketball team has won three in a row in Section 1-1A, and it limited those opponents to an average of 22.7 points per game.
The Panthers, 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the section, host Eden Christian on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
Sewickley Academy is tied for second in the section with Quigley Catholic, one game behind Rochester. Eden Christian sits one game behind the Panthers in fourth. The matchup begins the second cycle of Section 1 play.
